ABOUT ME

I received a Master of Arts degree in writing and editing from the University of Illinois at Springfield. I taught, as adjunct faculty, various writing classes at Lincoln College and Lincoln Christian University. Those are my qualifications, but that doesn’t make a person want to necessarily write books. The first book I wrote, A Respect for the Office: Letters from the Presidents, came about as a project. I found the hours zipping by as I designed and edited the book. At that point, I knew I loved the writing process.

My next leap into writing occurred simply by letting one of the many stories circling around in my head out on paper. The method was completely different than the first book. The characters in Brothers Mine came to life, and the story unfolded. I'm making it sound like an easy project; it actually took me ten years to write these three books. I hired a professional editor and graphic designer for the first book. For the last two books, I wrote and edited them myself. I had talented friends help me with the covers. To me, my books are like my kids—I was there every step of the way.

The next chapter in my journey began in June of 2023. An advanced soul group, The Collective, communicated with me their desire to write a book. They spoke, and I typed. I could not help interrupting them to ask questions. I completed this project on my own, with the help of The Collective, of course. My fifth book represents an interesting conversation about life on Earth and other realms. I look forward to continuing this series with The Collective.
